Maternity Blues
The maternity baby blues, maternity blues or baby blues is a condition that 75-80% of
mothers can experience after childbirth with a wide variety of symptoms which generally
involve mild depression. Baby blues is not postnatal depression, unless it is abnormally
severe.

Cause
After the placenta is delivered, the placental “hormone factory” shuts down causing radical changes in hormone levels, and the woman can suffer symptoms due to withdrawal from the high pregnancy levels of oestrogen, progesterone and endorphins. Combined with this shift in hormone levels is the physical, mental and emotional exhaustion – as well as sleep deprivation typical of parenting a newborn. All of these factors contribute to the condition.

biasanya depresi ringan. Baby blues bukan depresi pasca melahirkan, kecuali jika parah.

Penyebab
Setelah plasenta lepas, “pabrik hormon”plasenta menutup. Ini menyebabkan perubahan drastis pada level hormon, dan sang ibu bisa mendapat gejala karena menurunnya level estrogen, progesteron dan endorphin yang tinggi selama hamil. Selain perubahan level hormon, juga karena kelelahan secara fisik, mental dan emosional serta hilangnya privasi untuk tidur layaknya orangtua yang baru melahirkan. Semua faktor ini mempengaruhi kondisi tersebut.

Billions of years ago, our galaxy gave birth to an unassuming star. Even today, that star is
the only one astronomers can study in detail. Approximately 4.6 billion years ago, a cold
cloud of gas and dust buried deep in one of the Milky Way galaxy’s spiral arms started
to collapse. Perhaps strong winds from a massive star or a shock wave from a nearby
supernova explosion triggered the collapse — from our distance in time, we’ll never know for sure.

Whatever the cause, the force of gravity then started to work its magic: The cloud began to contract and fragment. One of those fragments was destined to become our Sun and the rest of the solar system. The other fragments also spawned stars that have long since moved away from their birthplace â_” there’s no way to determine which ones might have been our siblings. But while the star-formation process was going full bore, our small part of the galaxy probably looked like the Orion Nebula (M42) or one of the other similar starforming regions we see around us today.

terlempar jauh sejak dilahirkan. Tak ada cara untuk menentukan yang mana saudara
kita. Sementara proses pembentukan bintang berjalan dengan membosankan, bagian kecil
galaksi kemungkinan terlihat seperti Orion Nebula (M42) atau salah satu dari bentuk
bintang yang kita lihat di sekitar kita saat ini.
